Smash Therapy LLC is a place for everyday people who need a “break”. Adults and children release stress and other emotions in a physical manner. Adults do so by breaking household items such as glass, wooden furniture, and/or electronics with a weapon of their choice. Children target their triggers and stressors by throwing paintballs at them spray painted on a wall. The concept is therapeutic in theory. By relieving stress in a controlled environment, it teaches discipline and temporary coping skills opposed to one engaging in activities that they may regret, facing legal consequences or the like. Referrals and resources for continuum of care for counseling, psychotherapy, psychiatry, and crisis hotlines are available also. Smash Therapy is essentially a safe haven.
